Max made his debut on the 14th Feb 2015 and it wasn't the best start with a slow break and ended up coming home last, but Max had graded into the very Top Grade and ran in A1 Races in his first 4 Runs, and indeed Max did start slowly as it wasn't until May that he Won his first Race, just 2 runs in June but he was finding his feet and it was all to change 2 Wins in July and it was clear he was just starting to get everything sorted out, the thing about Max and we should all learn really, that he is a Big Dog and big dogs come on later than others, and need time and Patience, well that's the great thing about the To Tone Owners they understand this and indeed there rewards were still to come, in Aug a 24:21 Win for Max and a Rating of 100 of Greyhound Data, and then in Sept 2015 he Won a A1 in 24:07 and followed this up with a Open Race Win 24:13 another A1 Win and he was then in a Top class Open field all the Talk was about the Odds on Fav Laughing Gravy and Max was a massive 10/1 .. and one thing about Max is when he breaks and leads it takes a very good dog indeed to get passed him, indeed its not happened and he broke and even the Gravy who ranged up couldn't do it, a Great win for Max his 2nd Open, and after that slow start he was to Win 8 Races in 2015 , he has since added 3 Wins including a 24:02 Win in 2016 .. but its as we say not just about the racing as Max is a real star at the kennels.
He is quite funny as he can seem a little quite but in truth he is just waiting for his time, and when the Treats come out he is the first one to go mad, he also has a lovely trick of trying to get into my pocket and indeed has developed this to try anybody Pocket .. for me one of the Highlights was some of our fantastic Owners sponsored a Race and Max was in the race at 7/2 he had a chance and before the race I was thinking how great it would be for Max to pick up the Trophy from our Own family, and Max did he won the Dunton Doggie Do Gooders Trophy, which made it a really special night.
Max is out of Forest Master and Doodle Doo his litter includes 6 Open Race Dogs, but it is his Half Brother from the next Litter Deanridge Pennys who is best known, Max has a Rating of 109 on Data but could not rate higher as a Lovely Dog, a lovely Brindle Max needs a home when he retires which I hope won't be for a long time yet, but Max was Born on the 8th Nov 2012 so we will take it steady with Max and give him breaks when he needs them, as he goes towards his 4th Birthday.
Max really is a Top Dog who isn't half bad on the Track either
